Bryan is led by former Magnolia West coach James Dillard, who was hired to lead the program at his alma mater last summer. Dillard said playing in a tournament with some familiar foes and tough competition will serve his team well moving forward.
"You get five games, you get really good weather, you get to see a lot of arms, and you get to see about five playoff-caliber teams," he said. "That's huge for us just to see that we can compete, for the most part, with those guys. That helps us quite a bit. … I don't care what our record is going into district - I just want to be ready to go."
Dillard coached at Magnolia West for five seasons and picked up his 200th career win during his final campaign leading the Mustangs last spring.... Click here to read full article
